Network Airline Management Transports Tyres to Abu Dhabi for the F1 Grand Prix

“It’s lights out and away we go!”

Network Airline Management, with the use of its managed fleet of B747F aircraft, has successfully carried a shipment of tyres for the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from Europe to Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

Utilising NAM’s ad-hoc charter capacity, the aircraft was loaded with a total of 2080 ‘race-ready’ F1 tyres, bound for the Yas Marina Circuit. The flight time totalled 6 hours on board our newly liveried TF-AMM aircraft.

The intricate structure of the tyres utilises a combination of rubber compounds and special fibres, so had to be carefully temperature controlled between 15°c to 25°c whilst on board. The tyres were loaded over 39 PMC pallets, totalling 25 tonnes. The load was meticulously planned by NAM’s expert Special Loads team, to ensure all tyres were loaded to the required specification.

With NAM’s H24 Operations team on hand to cast a watchful eye over the flight’s operation from start to finish, the tyres were delivered in good time ahead of the race weekend in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in November 2022, was the final race of the season and is considered one of the highlight races of the entire season’s calendar, which featured some of the very tyres Network transported! After an exciting end to another F1 season, the team are already looking forward to the 2023 season ahead.

The Network teams are always on hand to provide tailored air cargo solutions to suit all types of freight no matter the size or weight. Contact our experienced charters team in LGW today for the latest availability, competitive rates and to book your cargo, via email at: charters@network-airline.com, via phone at +44 (0) 1293 547 737 or click the button below for more information on how we can help YOU!

Network Airline Services CDG Hosts Party to Celebrate 20 Years of GSA Partnership with Amerijet

Network Airline Services, Paris (CDG) was pleased to welcome approximately 100 guests, customers and agents to celebrate 20 years of success, growth and general service agent (GSA) partnership with Amerijet. NAS began operating as Amerijet’s GSA in France in August 2002.

The NAS CDG team hosted a luncheon to commemorate the 20-year milestone in October 2022 at the stunning Pentahotel at the CDG Airport in Roissy. Florent Turlier, NAS Director for France, commenced the celebration with an opening speech that thanked everyone for their attendance and support and introduced the NAS France and Amerijet team to the attending guests. Guests were welcomed to the party with drinks and canapes before enjoying the main course and dessert. Video footage highlighting company updates played throughout the event. The party lasted from 11:45 to 14:15, a very timely French tradition!

“The event was a great success, with around 100 customers in attendance including local teams, high-ranking directors, various key clients plus the NAS CDG team. The venue was more than full, with the feedback we received from our guests being extremely positive. We’d like to again thank Amerijet for the support and trust they have put into NAS France over the years.” NAS Director for France, Florent Turlier.

Simon Pantin and Axel Hoffmeister, members of Amerijet’s Senior Management team also made short speeches, followed by a heart-warming video message for customers from Amerijet’s Chief Commercial Officer, Eric Wilson. A raffle with 5 winners, including prizes such as a weekend break for two in a castle, as well as dinner and breakfast packages rounded off a fantastic event. Each guest left the venue with a party bag filled with goodie items and key information from NAS and Amerijet.

“Let me again say thank you for your partnership and trust and for building Amerijet’s reputation as the premier scheduled cargo airline to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America in the French market. We are looking forward to continuing our long, productive relationship with NAS.” – Amerijet CCO, Eric Wilson.

The COVID-19 pandemic halted customer-centric events so the teams were keen to reconnect with clients, both new and existing to celebrate the 20 years NAS and Amerijet have been working together.
