Network Airline Management Relocates 3 Asian Elephants to Japan
Network Airline Management has successfully completed the complex international relocation of three Asian elephants, named Kilat, Dara and Amoi from Malaysia to their new home in Japan, as part of a conservation program.
The delicate operation required the unique heavy-lift capabilities of NAM’s Boeing 747-400F freighter aircraft, which is perfectly suited for high-stakes, large animal charters.
Moving elephants across international borders requires an extraordinary level of coordination, technical expertise and care. From specialised loading to meticulous scheduling and in-flight climate management, the safety and comfort of the animals were prioritised throughout the entire journey.
One of the elephant handlers on board, who travelled with the animals for the flight’s duration, said, “Transporting these gentle giants is a massive responsibility that demands the highest standards of logistics and animal welfare. Thanks to the seamless collaboration of our specialised teams, the team at NAM and its global partners, Kilat, Dara and Amoi arrived safely and comfortably in Japan, ready to begin their next chapter.”
