Network Airline Management Transports Tyres to Abu Dhabi for the F1 Grand Prix

“It’s lights out and away we go!”

Network Airline Management, with the use of its managed fleet of B747F aircraft, has successfully carried a shipment of tyres for the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from Europe to Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

Utilising NAM’s ad-hoc charter capacity, the aircraft was loaded with a total of 2080 ‘race-ready’ F1 tyres, bound for the Yas Marina Circuit. The flight time totalled 6 hours on board our newly liveried TF-AMM aircraft.

The intricate structure of the tyres utilises a combination of rubber compounds and special fibres, so had to be carefully temperature controlled between 15°c to 25°c whilst on board. The tyres were loaded over 39 PMC pallets, totalling 25 tonnes. The load was meticulously planned by NAM’s expert Special Loads team, to ensure all tyres were loaded to the required specification.

With NAM’s H24 Operations team on hand to cast a watchful eye over the flight’s operation from start to finish, the tyres were delivered in good time ahead of the race weekend in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in November 2022, was the final race of the season and is considered one of the highlight races of the entire season’s calendar, which featured some of the very tyres Network transported! After an exciting end to another F1 season, the team are already looking forward to the 2023 season ahead.

The Network teams are always on hand to provide tailored air cargo solutions to suit all types of freight no matter the size or weight. Contact our experienced charters team in LGW today for the latest availability, competitive rates and to book your cargo, via email at: charters@network-airline.com, via phone at +44 (0) 1293 547 737 or click the button below for more information on how we can help YOU!

Network Airline Services and Amerijet International Airlines Celebrate 20 Years of GSA Partnership in France.

In August 2002, Network Airline Services (NAS) began operating as Amerijet’s general sales agent (GSA) in France. This year, the partners will celebrate 20 years of growth and success.

“NAS and Amerijet are focused on innovation, trust, and integrity. We share a mission to ensure long-term profitable relationships with our customers and business partners. Above all, we would not have achieved success without the daily support of Amerijet’s teams over the last 20 years,” said Florent Turlier, NAS Director for France.

Amerijet develops long-term relationships with customers and general sales agents by providing first-class shipping services, equipment, and facilities. The company is dedicated to quality service and always seeks the best methods of providing optimal service to its global customer base. Over the past year, Amerijet expanded its fleet to provide its customers with versatility, range, and payload capability ideally suited for destinations throughout its networks and introduced a new cargo management system that enables the airline’s customers greater flexibility to view prices, capacity and to make real-time bookings.

“We are very proud of our 20-year relationship with Network Airline Services. Shared values and a singular focus on providing customers flexible, customized solutions across our network are cornerstones of our strong partnership,” said Amerijet Chief Commercial Officer Eric Wilson. “We want to thank Florent and the entire NAS team for building Amerijet’s reputation as the premier scheduled cargo airline to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America in the French market.”

NAS and Amerijet continue to expand their global relationship. In 2017, NAS extended its contract agreement with Malta. In 2018 ANA Aviation, Network Airline’s sister company was announced as Amerijet’s GSA in Dubai and in 2020 Amerijet began operating a direct service from Brussels (BRU) to Miami (MIA). As well as France, Malta and Dubai, Network Airline Services also represents Amerijet International Airlines in South Africa, from its office in Johannesburg.

To commemorate NAS and Amerijet’s 10th anniversary, the GSA hosted a celebration in France with major customers and members of Amerijet’s leadership team. The company looks forward to celebrating the 20-year milestone and many more years of success.

Network Airline Management Transports Rally Cars for the WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2022

Network Airline Management, with the use of its managed fleet of B747F, has successfully carried a shipment for the World Rally Championship (WRC) from Nairobi, Kenya to Liege, Belgium.

Utilising NAM’s regular scheduled B747F freighters from Nairobi to Liege, the flights were loaded with several Hyundai and Ford rally cars, tools, spares, and support equipment. The cargo arrived at its destination in good time and in perfect condition thanks to Network’s highly skilled, efficient team of cargo crew and ground staff.

Peter Njambi, Manager of Cargo Sales and Customer Service, in Network’s Nairobi , oversaw the rally cars’ departure from Nairobi, commented “The cars must have traversed some difficult landscapes as they are largely unrecognisable compared to when they originally flew in from Europe! In total, we moved 34 tonnes of rally cars and accessories, which is 7 tonnes more than last year! This type of load demands proper planning and coordination from our teams, considering the urgency and sensitivity of this high-profile cargo. Our teams had to ensure the timings of the cars’ delivery were on point to allow them to be ready for the next rally event in Estonia. We look forward to handling more WRC cars in 2023 and hope the drivers enjoyed their time in Kenya, even if the cars did not!”

The Kenyan Safari Rally is dubbed the “world’s toughest rally” and it’s considered to be one of the top events for drivers around the world due to its wild setting and rugged terrain… be sure to check out the image below which features some of the very cars Network transported!
